All Quiet on the Western Front shows how war takes the lives of others and the effects on people during the war.Frankenstein, even though it is fictional, tells a story of a distraught dream of science by artificial means of life. There, the young are basically joined the military for the idea of adventure. First, they go to training relaxed and basically thinking nothing of the war that is ahead.
